Qualifications Qualification: The ideal candidate should have a first Degree or an HND in Accounting or Finance or a level II of ACCA, ICA or CIMA Description Report to : Managing Director Department: Accounts Purpose : You will be responsible for various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts transactions, as well as the records of all financial transactions for the company. Major Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to the General Manager, the job holder would be required to: · Update books of accounts ? entering of expenses for various ledgers · Ensure filing of VAT, IRS (Paye) monthly and timely. · Raise sales orders in the Sage Accounting System and Prompt invoicing of customers using the Sage accounting system. · Follow up on overdue accounts by, monitoring customer invoices and initiating collection process by way of informing the Sales Team of overdue invoices. · Ensure that customer statements are issued at the end of every month and coordinate month end customer accounts reconciliation. · Preparing deposit slips and making bank deposits where necessary · to submit monthly reports and help in month end closing · Provide documentation and assist General Manager in answering receivables and revenue related questions during year-end audit · Adhere to all corporate strategies, policies and standards in the performance of this job and all other activities for/on behalf of the company
